Floyd Heglichs, the Rock Artist, Was born in Camaguey, Cuba in 1972. Floyd is a pioneer in a technique he calls Motion Art, a live creation of his artwork alongside the performance of a band, generally a rock band. Floyd’s inspiration is life and his colors are intense and energetic. Although many times abstract, Floyd’s paintings are meaningful and synergetic. Floyd’s Pop Art can be described as Cubist Pop (“Pop Cubista”), with dark, bold lines and colors depicting somewhat surreal scenes of Pop Culture. Floyd is well known in the Latin community and has been a guest on over 100 television programs in the last 10 years and has participated in numerous events in Miami, New York and abroad. Floyd is at once a performer and a visual artist, introducing us to a realm of Pop Culture and entertaining us with his expressionist view of music through his Motion Art.
